What happened over the last 7 days:
1. We released the "All the Thrusters Pack"
- The significance was that we finally worked out the remaining kinks in how the back-end tools need to be used to pull this sort of thing off. Yeah, seems like it should be simple, but let the words "code-level define filters that are not documented anywhere" sink in for a moment ;)
2. We made major progress on a fairly deep mech repair tool.
- This is aimed at fixing some of the problems that some older accounts may encounter
- I want to get this in place before doing major "winback" campaigns
3. The Markee Dragon team is now all excited to add Hawken to their streaming schedule
- These are some seriously good people. You'll see them on Twitch and maybe Hitbox.
4. The "Sharpshooter Complete Pack" got released
- Part of the goal here was to at least partially address the desire for some users to not have to really mess with having to jump through the hoop of unlocking the functional items.
- Consider this one of those exploratory things. The other part of the goal is to get a real-world gauge on interest.
5. We're now testing out both Slack and HipChat for our intra-team communications
- Anybody have any strong feelings on the matter?
6. Build pipeline research and testing
7. The first game design change went in
- MG turrets now do 5 damage, up from 4.5
- Based on the data, these things generally had an insignificant effect
- The goal here is to make a small step toward making them more viable but not overpowered.
- The other goal is to see how the aggregate numbers change - this will provide some indication of how "stable" Hawken balance really is
