Things that went "done":
1. Added a restart button for the private servers
- yes, it's finally there
2. Migrated all gameserver hosts to use a different management system
- CPU utilization is lower now, so watch for performance improvements
3. New engine programmer is all set up and working
- he's doing engine-level stuff, and it won't show for a while
4. Actively interviewing senior-level and lead programmers
- haven't found the right fit quite yet, but getting close
- if you refer someone we end up hiring, you will get some cool Hawken gear :)
5. We've got some new survey systems we want to start using
- Check it out the callout tile when you log in to the client
6. Tiggs is headed out to Markee Fest in Florida
- We are co-sponsoring the event CCP... I've always been an Eve:Online fan :)
7. Increased the matchmaker expansion time
- we want to get better matches for everyone, and good players seem to not mind waiting a little longer for them
- significant improvements will come when we improve how game servers do mid-match balance and when they decide to request additional players.
8. We got some more cool I-can't-talk-about-them-yet deals done or mostly done
- Hawken's got some really cool stuff in store :)
Some things I'd like feedback on:
1. CPU utilization is now lower on all game server hosts. What have you noticed since Tuesday this last week?
- The Oregon server took a dive, so we merged it into Los Angeles for now
- Check out the Kansas City server
2. The "Restart" feature for private servers
- Let us know if this generally solves most of the day-to-day issues you've experienced
3. If you play in the Asia-Oceania region, we want to improve the overall ping time experience
- Here's a survey with a few options and a chance to comment: https://www.surveygi...a-Region-Survey
