Many streamers play music in the background when streaming (which I never like lol) and due to the copyright bs some portions of the audio are removed.

 

If you take streaming seriously and want to work around that, I have the needed solution.

 

What you have to do is to change the bitrate of the songs you prefer playing, especially popular ones that have a high chance of being recognized by the twitch algorithms and thus probably getting that portion muted.

 

You can do that easily using the freeware Audacity: http://audacityteam.org/download/

 

Reduce or increase the bitrate by 200 and you'll be all good.

 

Make sure to export the project not save it to get the files.

 

 

If you take streaming seriously you should think of doing this if you notice that twitch is removing audio from your videos.

Yes I used this for youtube but i'm sure twitch's algorithms can't be as precise as youtube's so I'm pretty sure it'll work.

and do not record it with recorder

Problem is if you have song requests on your stream you can't really do that

 

And lowering bitrate makes my ears cry

 

But raising it is good I guess

I had success excluding my music entirely with this method using Winamp and Virtual Audio Cable--the only problem is that it introduces slight audio lag in-game, but that might not be an issue for other people here. I stopped using it though because I hardly ever record and the delay got irritating.

There is a sweet spot with twitch. You can have your music at a certain volume and with the game sounds it won't be caught be the copyright. That's how I have been getting by with music and streaming.
