Dallas 3 is god awful. I have 85-90 ping, hit registration seems a little poor but nothing game breaking. The issue is magnified ten fold when I hop in a scout and play extremely aggressive and incorporate a lot of boost dodges / whatever else pops in my mind - basically, very mobile play. I'll often have my scout get 'stuck' mid dodges, screen may freeze for a moment, dodge times are off, or in some cases the dodge doesn't even occur.

I'm well aware that i shouldn't expect to have the same performance as I would in a 35 ping ashburn server, but 90 ping isn't all that much and these server 'glitches' can get you fuzzy bunnyed. Has anyone else experienced similar piss poor server performance?

Yeah dallas3 has easily been the worst of the dallas servers for me and far worse than KC. At that ping you can't expect it to be perfect but it shouldn't be THAT bad.

Why don't we just find one super solid host in central US and host all of the severs there?

 

As one of the players constantly annoyed by the overwhelming majority of people playing in east servers I think this would provide a fun game for everyone.

EU has the same issue with mobile mechs and Blitz on Raider. Somehow it just makes the game crap out and queuing commands in quick succession has a high chance of making some of them disappear. Boost -> dodge often makes you faceplant forward for some reason.

You probably get 100 ping or more on Ashburn and that's why it feels terrible for you. I get 100-110 on west and I feel like I drop half a K in mmr instantly... and I don't believe one's performance is that hindered in high ping environments, I think it's just bad servers.

 

Which is understandable given the current state of Reloaded, and hopefully when the income starts pouring in they'll give it a second look. Until then, dallas3 needs a check-up.

Funniest thing I ever had was blitzing with a Raider and after he blitz ran out I could only move in slow motion.

Or especially on frankfurt servers where sometimes the 180� turn is a 200-270� turn.

i also get issues on dallas3, though i have about 70 to 80 ping, its usually im suddenly a couple feet to the left or right, usually results in a face tow, or falling off a ledge or clif, makes raider and burst useless. 

 

i get 100ish on ashburn but its never stable, it bounces between like 90 and 120, which makes it hard to do anything useful.

I just had a great match on dallas3-tdm-7320 and I had 48 ping, the lowest I've ever had, and no problems whatsoever.  My location is eastern Nebraska.

All I know is something spooky is going on with the servers sometimes.

I live in Cali and I get a good 40-60 on Dallas and 100-120 for Kansas city. I'm wonding how I would get about the same ping connecting to Kansas city I would get connecting to Ashburn at around 110-130, and if I'm unlucky 150+ spike. I believe Ashburn is east coast if I correct; farther than Kansas city and Kansas city is closer to Dallas mind you.

I really did not attach much importance to the ping, but reading what here explain now understand that some are surprised at the damage that I do with my armed predator with EOC repeater, as they discussed my ping is unplayable for a Predator, I usually play with a ping of 140, sometimes with ping 190-210.

 

I've never had ping of 35, I hope to test in the Atlantic region are organizing this event to see if I can pin 35

My dallas pings are all screwy.  40 one round, 120 the next, then 80, then 100, then 35.  Its like that in chicago too.  I don't even play on assburn anymore, even though they are the closest to me they are the worst.

 

I don't even mind playing on LA now that they seem to be located in Oregon.  80 ping all day there.

Confirmed, I played on Dallas3 last night. My reported ping was 112, but it felt more like 150-200.

 

At times, I was shooting people at point blank but registering no hits. Rubberbanded into walls every so often. Fun...

Talking about bad servers, I'm in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and since there is no east servers choice anymore, I seem to be joining a lot of west servers when I'd prefer east because my ping ultimately gets at 90-100 instead of 20-25...

It's annoying...

I can manually select servers in the browser but when i'm matchmaking with a friend the story is different.
Oh: It would be nice to form a party and let the leader select the server from serverbrowser...

Stuck dodges are a huge issue on Dallas3 right now. It is impossible to go through a match in an A-class without screeching to a jittery halt mid-dodge several times.

it was wild in KC tonite: i ran close to my usual 56 to 64 (which is the same as dallas and chicago) from Va, and a player in Vt that usually ran the same suddenly jacked to ~588 ping during the "debrief" after carousel. when it went to the next map, he disappeared from the ready board, and then reconnected.

i hate playing LA. 96 to 120 pings i can play with, i get the same from EU servers, but the shot-registering losses in LA are insanely frustrating. how do you miss face-huggy point-blank???

 

TL/DR: I'm masochistic. I play Hawken. I'll be playing again later today.

Anybody else still getting some dallas funk?  I was getting 60-70 ping and was having a hell of a time trying to lead a scout.  I tried to go to Kansas and those were gone last night.

Yes, Dallas3 was pretty bad last night.

Same in EU with 30-40 Ping, because of that i don't play.

 

- Clear hits won't damage enemy

- game freezing for 1-2 seconds, if in crucial moments i die

- teleporting

- falling down and get instantly insane damage, if i have "only" 100HP left i die (happens only on wreckage&Origin)

- dodge dosn't work

- tow/items too slow
