it's been mentioned often. there used to be a rather large linux following here, and OSS would definitely add a few thousand possible new coders, but that would mean code being released publicly, and IMHO i just don't see ReLoaded ever doing that. Meteor, didn't, Adhesive didn't.
or not until they could afford too (if ever), any how

You can try using a windows emulator, although it wouldn't run 100% without problems

Sorry but this is not going to happen.
First ask nVidia to come up with acceptable drivers for Linux.

Other games work fine on Linux. I would like to see it come to Linux, but I'm not keeping my hopes up (I know I have that red tag by my name, but I have no idea of the logistics of this or any plans to do or not do this, I'm just a backend guy, wishing for a Linux version).

[kloeri] And we're done for now with all the rebooting.. except for a single server that will be rebooted when it's done pretending it's a tree.

and the link to: https://appdb.winehq...rsion&iId=27253
it's been mentioned before that Hawken was slapped together just a little too haphazardly for it to even work well under windows itself. the corner-cutting and disorganization is still grossly apparent even today. ie: i can remember the richness and detail of the maps, and just how incredible they were, the rotating wind turbines, beat up war-torn look, the trashy real-estate--now it's all just stripped naked. holes in the blue walls (why blue walls at all?), the ability to completely leave the map, go under it, etc. it just went into beta then has sat there in one form or another for 3 years.
i'm fairly certain that before any progress could be made in wine--no progress since OB release, looks like, Hawken needs a huge makeover. and i don't see that ever happening either, as it could possibly wind up being more trouble and costlier than it's worth (not sarcastic, being realistic as i doubt ReLoaded is loaded).
if it does occur, i suppose it might be vastly different, and on the level of the difference between MW3 and MW-Mercs or Pirates Moon. same game, whole different animal.
