Does anyone know how to fix this. I know I'm a bad player but, this seems to be happening since I reinstalled the game on a fresh win 10 install. Help, I can't stand to get any worse than what I already am.
I damage myself when I fire my secondary.

Do you take damage 100% of the time you fire secondary?
Does it happen on all secondary or mostly tow?
The tow in particular will hurt you if you are in its splash radius when it detonates (on nearby mech or walls)
Careful you don't left peek around a wall and try to tow an enemy when your right side is still behind the wall.
If you like to get up close and personal with your tow (especially zerker and heat scout) then get the failsafe internal to reduce self-damage.

sorry for the necro:
if this continues to happen, you might check to see if you have your mouse button software settings for double or multi-click rather than single per each press. similar to the continuous letter printing if you hold the key down.
also check your mouse input Settings in the Garage.
