So my AMD Catalyst program (fuzzy bunny that program) had reset my monitor settings to 60hz when i have a 144hz screen.  I just noticed this yesterday and reset this in my display settings.

This seemed to make a marked improvement in the smoothness of the games visuals.  I was getting terribad screen tearing before.  It looked like fuzzy bunny.

Does the game have to follow what the display settings for windows are?

Battlefield 4 gives you options for output that appears to bypass the amd and windows display settings.

Come on Crafty, you have been officially called out on your lies. Your online reputation is at stake here, this is just like an old school street race running for pink slips. Its run what you brung and hope its enough. Put up or shut the fuzzy bunny up.

Perhaps this stuff (custom resolution utility) will be useful for you too.

I had the same issue , this utility solved the 2 display settings reset and their respective refresh rates.

You can use RadeonPro software, create a profile for Hawken and use vsync from there or force/lock frames.

Also, try Crimson for your card.
