What's your favorite game mode? Mech? Map?
I was playing the team death match then got involved in siege , i seem to get beat up badly in origin ,I really like prose in the TDM but Frontline is the best for siege . My favorite is an assault mech at least for now.

Gamemode? DM, but no one plays. I like me some 1v1 action
Mech? Scout; Gotta go fast, vroom vroom! Close second is the CRT, simple and deadly.
Map? Wreckage. Lots of corner-play and open areas are on the small side. It caters to my playstyle more often than other maps, regardless of where Im at. Maybe Ive just memorized the angles better on that map

Is anyone using the elite controller ? For Hawken or other games? What does it bring to the game ? I have heard others talking about it but am wondering if the gameplay is gonna be worth the buck an a half price tag. Your thoughts

The potential of a controller with extra buttons or paddles (In this case, the Elite controller) is incredible. Console pros use nothing but Scuf and Elite controllers because of one major advantage: The extra paddles make it so you never have to remove your thumbs from the analog sticks because your A, B, X, and Y are available via paddles beneath your controller, reachable with your middle or ring fingers. For Hawken specifically, this is absolutely crucial as the bread-and-butter of high tier players is their capacity to boost/dodge around you and your line-of-sight while firing away without worry that they can't keep their guns pointed at you and still have easy access to any other button needed at the same time. How to do all that is a different story, a guide for another time. For now, check out any of my recordings:

I use a Scuf, ideally the same thing as an Elite, and you can really get a good feel for what my controller allows me to be capable of more easily; Specifically for me, I bind my boost/dodge to my left paddle, hover to my right, ability to the inside right, and one of my items to the inside left. Repair is a bumper and the other inbound item is a bumper. No more use of topside buttons. Of course, there are control layouts that don't require you to buy a Scuf or Elite (I'll post them all if you want?) But those bend my brain too much to learn to use. Overall, I'd say you should really check out my gameplay, see for yourself what a Scuf/Elite can really do for a top tier player and then decide if it's worth it to you. Try to imagine what buttons you'd like as paddles and how you could benefit from learning to use them instead of your aiming thumb. I've seen players go with and without paddled controllers and they still can do very well for themselves. I'd also like to mention there is a small learning curve to getting used to the extra buttons.

Thanks for the input Kirk707. Watched your videos and I see your one of those guys ( damn scouts) just kidding , I wish I could play one that well. I try to just leave them be but every now and then just when I've thought I had one nailed I would pursue the kill only to my own demise.

A wounded Scout can be an even scarier opponent than a full health Scout, be careful chasing them. And to defeat them in general (This is anot amazing trick for killing anyone at any skill level) just wait to fire your secondary weapon until he dodges- Try to predict the Dodge and which direction he will go to further increase your chance of hitting.
