After my recent visit to Pax East 2015 there was a huge push for couch co op on PC, and Alienware had a huge booth for their Steam Box and the the Steam Controller. I'm guilty of it myself, I built a PC just for my home theater living room, and I play with a controller more and more on PC. There's something to be said for relaxing on the couch and blowing up some mechs with a nice surround sound system on a massive screen.
 
It seems like the natural evolution of the PC is to hook it up to a tv, and a number of these PC esque machines are running Steam in Big Picture Mode. I understand CapnJosh and Reloaded just stepped in, and they're probably buried in other work, but has there  been any discussion for improved controller support? I use a wireless Xbox 360 controller with my HTPC, and gameplay wise it functions quite well. But I still need a mouse to navigate the garage, and hit the ready / launch button during and between matches.
 
And before the m / kb elite show up, I understand the controller isn't for everyone and that it may not be the best control option. With that said a controller is used by plenty of Steam account holders, so it's not that far fetched to include better controller support in Hawken. The game lends itself quite well to controller play actually.

i have large hand "fat-fingeritis". 360 joypad is a godsend; however i still use mouse RH for aiming/firing/secondary-weapon feature or scoping.

I wondered if anyone else played like this. I used to play with a full controller before air dodge was implemented. It was great.

I play with a PS3 Controller!
and yeah, I agree, it's annoying to keep using my mouse to launch into the battlefield and in the menu when I play laid back with a controller majority of the time.

(By the way, I was interested in that steam controller, is it wired? That's pretty much my only question XD)
