Noticed after the update that the servers in the Asia region all appear to be high ping servers.  I have checked to see if this might be related to an underground sea cable being bust (which has happened a few times before) but there is no fault recorded.  Seems as though the Singapore servers are no more and the Asia region is based in Tokyo?  My ping to the Singapore servers used to be on average 72ms, but now I am running at 250ms+.  The player base in Oceania is small at times, and I can find more games in Asia.

Hi Draco xD yep I'm also waiting for Singapore server along with rest of the south asia community. I got comms from Dev - 'We are working on a new hosting platform that can support servers in Singapore. Right now we don't have any though.'

I'd love them to create a 'south asia' server that is actually hosted in Australia but appears in Asia browser.

Then we can queue up in the more populated region and the Asia players can eat some ping for a change...

 

The main reason for separating Oceanic out was because we couldn't easily browse into servers, and if we tried matchmaking in, then we would end up in tokyo... This became irrelevant with private servers (now no longer available), and I believe also improved by allowing players to join higher ranked servers (just needs to get the high ranks to join first then everyone else can browse in)

 

I'd prefer to have a custom filter as a region where you could allow certain servers and game types to be shown rather than whole regions. I'd view all oceanic servers, singapore servers and even USA west.

Singapore servers are up. Hip hip hooray. I once mentioned to Josh to have the servers in Perth. Centre point between Singapore and Sydney :)
