technically, if we pile up mounds of clay, gravel, dirt, plant grasses and bushes to keep the soil stable; wouldn't it create a rainy environment?  15,000 feet of mountains should be enough to cause snow to occur, which will translate to rivers and habitats for reptillians such as myself. lol jp.

would this be a viable option for areas that have dense populations with severe drought?  or should we not play with mother nature and her tectonic plates.

if we were to build this boob mountain, how wide should it be?  should the tip be pointy and narrow, or wide?

what a great idea.  we can combine all the human wastes into a mountain. in a few years, it'll become rich soil for the most competitive seed.

genius.

love all these ideas everyone. keep it up.

archmech, i'm having a hard time understanding or picturing an autistic orgy. would you care to elaborate on this idea of yours? thank you

Well, after a period of time one side or the other would likely turn into a desert which would destroy all of the natural life that might have been there. (I mean, that's whats left since 90% of it would likely be killed or driven off by the machinery it would take to actually build a mountain.)

i believe when there is a mountain, there are 2 openings to which rivers can enter and go downstream to the climax, on either way, and in the process. waterfalls are made and water falls down; in my opinion.

well nolo, how would we start such a project to build an artificial mountain?   how much money would we need?

in a vast desert that ranges thousands of miles, there already is no life (some life).   it gets too hot near the equater that the clouds and the water vapor will never condense into rainfall.

this again might go against mother nature, because there are desert species that thrive in the hot desert and would otherwise be extinct or removed when the environment changes.

Well as for the cost, i think it would likely be less than the IP for hawken. As for how, I think the best place to get the dirt would be the bottom of the ocean. It helps expand the landmass, makes the ocean deeper, and helps give extra room for the giant squids that lurk in the depths.

great point.  i just had a thought.    why not build giant tall cities, and connect them alltogether so it will form a small mountain range. the cities could collect rainwater

there is also plenty of sand in the world to make enough glass windows and concrete / cement to turn the city into an eco friendly / gardening / solar power machine.

i hear that it rains every week in new york.  why is this? could it be the tall skyscraper buildings?

on the topic of dirt and sand:

i never understood the slaughter of wood for houses when we can use clay / bricks / cement / concrete for buildings.

Well I've always thought that multi layered cities would be a good Idea personally, if they are all connected it would certainly kill off a lot of wildlife however. Mountains in and of themselves are not ideal for building anyway because of how much dirt it can take to level an area for construction. Even then, eventually erosion will wipe away whatever you do level.

Ah, but what about the areas we take the sand from? What will the Lizards think of us? While we adore the hampsters, we must also think of the giant lizards

Possibly, or maybe just the depressing mood that seems to have taken over there. Maybe it is because of the pigeons simultaneously flapping causing the winds to shift and a permanent cold front?

Wood has one of the highest weight-strength ratios, much higher than that of steel. Wood is also much easy to obtain, as we just cut it down. Wood also is readily available and replenishes itself over time, whereas eventually we will run out of metal and stone. The trees understand anyway, its survival of the thinnest

hat will the Lizards think of us?

i guess that flat land would be best for building the mountainous cities. draw up some designs of the city, and show it to me.

and as for the lizards and pigeons, hopefully they will make due.  our mountain city will only cover  20 square miles.  there should be more desert space for them.  they can also co-exist with us; if we allow them to.

i beleive that steel / sand / metal is much more abundant than wood.

we can make a permanent glass city if we wanted to.

wood can only replenish itself overtime if we cut it correctly.    i don't believe we've learned the proper techniques yet.

I will work on Drawing up some designs in my spare time

Co-existing seems to be our best option

In a broader sense yes, but I meant that eventually the steel will run out whereas wood is constantly being regrown

We could, but then the deserts would be hungry for sand

I do not think so, however replanting is also a very good cutting method

How are your designs coming along, Human?

I've began drawing up a space ship in my spare time but the only downfall is, i've calculated the price to be near  $15,000, along with other hidden unknown expenses.  This might be a 3-5 year project as I slowly progress and weld the parts in carefully.

Agreed.  Replanting is a very good method.  Our carbon dioxide that the new plants / trees has to equal the same amount as the old one we cut down within 2 years.   I've watched a very inspiring video, hopefully it will add into our inspirations for preservation, conservation, and protection of endangered species that were affected by human activity.
