Recommend adding the following main topic to the forum and the rest be a sub topic.

  • Report bugs here
    • Mech bugs/issues
    • Map bugs/issues
    • Item bugs/issues
    • Server bugs/issues
    • Store bugs/issues
    • Graphics bugs/issues
    • Sound bugs/issues

You only need one Bug/Issues forum for all those things. Though they might be taking bug reporting out of the forums and making it only direct reports to Support.

I Agree. This topic is needed. I also thought about this a couple of days ago. As a nokari said - "one Bug/Issues forum". You just need to enter a rule that when a new error message (that is, when reporting an error, but not when it was discussed). The first sentence of the message must contain a "category" (Align text to the center, and skip the next two rows (two blank rows with no text).:

  • Mech bugs/issues
  • Map bugs/issues
  • Item bugs/issues
  • Server bugs/issues
  • Store bugs/issues
  • Graphics bugs/issues
  • Sound bugs/issues

No, I doubt that the devs will create a bug reports forum. They intentionally skipped that forum.

We'll be providing you with a means to report bugs in the near future.

I guess they want us to report bugs in some other way than posting them in the forums. Maybe with a ticket system?

She was referring to technical support for the game.

We also offer open forum to voice bugs and technical problems (not tied to the gameplay).

Suggest questions are related to gameplay to voice only on the fact (without describing the way as it is done to malitious user did not use "bug" in the game). For example: yes Map "Front Line" can climb up but do not need tell how to do it all on the forum (for a concrete bug Administration / moderator will contact you via private message).

Thus forum users will know what the technical bugs are already known to the developers.

I'm pretty sure that it was a repsonse to the suggestion of implementing a bug reports forum. This isn't the first thread asking for a bug reports forum after all.

If they want to do a ticket system thats fine but it would only increase their workload a bit I think. They will probably receive about 100+ of the same ticket for each bug before its added to the know list if people even come to the forums to check it at that point.

The reason I recommend doing as I listed it above with the sub categories is it will:

1. It will make it easy to sort the bugs and for new posters to find where to post them.

2. Make it easy to see if the same bug has already been posted since they are already neatly sorted & there would be less post per sub topic.

An example would be if the Raider broke and you went to the [Mech bugs] sub topic you would probably see it already reported in the top 5-6 posts reducing the chances of a repost.

I have done quite a bit of alpha/beta testing in my day and I have found this to be the most effective methiod.

A ticket managing system like Zendesk makes it easy to sort and respond to multiple tickets. They just need a Support team to review tickets, which I believe they said they were working on. They can also make FAQs to answer questions that can also be auto-filled responses to tickets that they answer, which really only take a few seconds to deal with. I know a site that has tens of millions of members and their team of only 6 people regularly goes through over 1000 tickets a month using Zendesk. We're not even close to that big of a population to worry about.

I have not found those to be effective with most games I have been a part of.

They lack the back and forth and communication & involvement of the community, a lot of issues are solved through multiple users discussing how similar issues effect their system and their work arounds, this often identifies over looked areas that seem like they would be unrelated.

From what I have heard of the new ownership they are very shorthanded. It would be better to let the community help with isolating and solving issues with bugs.

Tickets are good for communities that are too large to sort through where the devs have no desire to interact with the players, I would hope thats not the mindset of the new ownership.
