I have a feeling kaspersky is picking up on some anti-cheat implemented into the game.

Go into KIS configs and add all .exe from the game's folder.
HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping
C:Program Files (x86)MeteorEntertainmentHawkenInstalledHawkenFilesBinariesWin32
HawkenLauncher
C:Program Files (x86)MeteorEntertainmentHawkenInstalledHawkenFiles
Edit: also ...what version of KIS are you using_

Generally when a av program blocks something unwanted it may delete the file too which could be why it's not working.
Only if he clicked on delete in this case.

sure, lowering the AV´s restrictions and/or setting up less restrictive rulesets may result in a workaround.
BUT: are you all so sure, that it´s really just a false positive_
why has no AV complayned about hawken since the first alpha_
why is there something "new", which results in a raise of AV-detections_
is there something "spyware-like" in the last gameupdate, which makes AV´s go mad now_
i still would ask very much for some official statements of the developers.
who tells us, that one of the last patches hasn´t been "infected" by something nasty (by someone, who is not a developer)_
lots of questions and speculation.
yes.
but is it really worh, risking one quick step too far, before checking the facts_
everybody may have an answer of it´s own for himselves...

Kaspersky have resolved the problem, and they are not going to add a false positive without testing the files first.

That said, for now, simply add an exception for Hawken.
A coagulated, gloomy thinking in the intelligence, as my major ego.
An antinomian theorem of behaviorism, in all of my thinkings.
It's what we call "The Inversion Impulse."
