I would find it useful to have some notification of who is speaking when someone uses push-to-talk, that way you know who's who... So for example, someone says over the coms "I'm heading to silo 3" - OK, who's heading to silo 3_

Yes, this would be an excellent addition.

I agree it would be an excellent idea. Also can we color code this to show whether the person you are listening to is in your team or not.  Blue for friendly red for enemy team.  That way you don't hear, "Let's meet up at silo 2" and there you go on your merry way only to run into a massive ambush.

You're not alone in wanting this, but...
People need to reply to threads more if they agree, and throw some 'likes' out there so the devs will notice.

OK, thanks DLP. Sorry for the duplicate thread. [BTW, my current thinking is that threads with titles (like yours from CB2) that simply state the idea/suggestion/problem are more likely to get the devs attention than titles like "My thoughts so far on the beta".]

I can only agree with that sentiment about thread titles...
It helps if you describe what you want in the title; vague fuzzy bunny titles don't help anyone
And no worries about double threads; the more threads there are, the more chance Meteor and Adhesive staff have to notice them.

I don't think you can actually hear the enemy team...

Can't you_  As it's been said before without knowing who is talking it's hard to figure out, next time I get on a server I'll see if I can test it out and see if there are open comms or just restricted to team chat.

Way ahead of you there.
Last night there was some fuzzy bunny who had open coms while sitting in what sounded like an internet cafe near a subway; we could all hear it in the lobby...
Then the match started (he was on the opposing team) and presto, my team couldn't hear him anymore.
The other team could though, and were VERY pissed about it.
Worst thing was that the guy just didn't get it...
And the guys on the enemy team said muting him didn't work.

Agreed, the game badly needs some indication. It's funny that we have the ability to mute, but no idea who has a mic open.

What about "Enemy Spotted" and "Help Requested" Spam_

Almost as annoying as people snorting and coughing with an open mic.

I've yet to experience that as a nuisance. I like it when people spot targets or call for back up but then again I'm one of those type of people that like to know what is going on everywhere at all times. I like intel even if you think you saw something, I'd rather be wary intead of ambushed.

Seems like there's consensus here... I'd love to hear from the devs!

YES! OMG, this is a necessity. In several matches I've heard players talking and I have no idea who it was or if they were even on my team. I asked in chat and no one ever answered either lol.

I agree with these statements. I was going through the Beta suggestions and there are a dozen pages. Threads with titles like this will get immediate reactions and hopefully responses while titles like "I have an idea" are vague and won't get people's attention cause they won't wanna take the time to read it.

Please, please, please this. Both to help with team coordination, and so that we can know who to mute when you end up on a team with those lovely people who spend the whole match shouting into their microphone but have nothing of real benefit to the team to say.

Unless there's some reason that adding this would be inherently difficult_ Because I can't see any reason that it would be...
