[The_Eldritch_Abomination]

So, I recently got the Brawler and used it. It isn't such a bad mech as i originally thought, but it's quite different from the strategies I use with my Bruiser and Rocketeer. If you could provide any insight, help or strategies, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah, this is what I do. I try and be really sneaky till I get spotted. At that point, I throw my fat around everywhere, pin people to walls, and let em have it point blank with the flak cannon.

basics from my experience:
You can't engage directly with the Flak.. I often just fire from cover until they come to me [which most people will, thinking they can simply dodge around me] or use cover until I can get close.

The flak is almost like a second TOW; it fires one high-punch shot at a time. Just time your attacks for when someone just dodged, then pound em with both barrels during that split-second that they're vulnerable. Rinse and repeat

gotta watch the temp with the Flak too.. and the more damage you can avoid, the better.

Anybody can kill scrubs, but I'll like to see you zoom up to me and try to pull that.
Even if you're on a Miniflak Scout, there's no way your going to hit 100% of your shots, and by God, if I'm just as accurate as the Scout is, they are in for a rude awakening.

Whenever I see an fuzzy bunny in a C-class boosting up on me, I generally wait for them to get close and waste all their boost before I just jet past them and 180 to blast them in the face with Hellfires while they're too busy being a fatty to get turned around to face me again.  The fat ninja comment is right on.  A brawler getting the jump on you is horrible, but a brawler running up on you thinking "Oh, I'm gonna flak this dude's ass inside out!" is just comedy waiting to happen.

You 180, I sidestep, and THEN I flak you.

Don't count on that strategy, bro. It'll work against newbies, but if it hits a good player, it'll only do it that one time. They remember tactics like that, and players who use them.

That's the point.  Only a scrub would go charging across the map in a C-class and waste all their fuel.
