It doesn't really hang for me, it just takes bloody forever.

I have run the game with HawkenGameBinariesWin32HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe. But he ask me my logg in and password so I give it and after few sec I could red "The meteor server is unreachable" also I could see my account on the left top of the screen :(.
And after that when I put my password I could read 'Wrong password - Login Fail - Maybe wrong pass _"
Do you have trouble with your autentification servers _

Yeah syncing is a bit wonky right now. Best thing to do is Keep closing and retrying for now. Hopefully it gets worked out soon as its a pretty big problem, I mean its kinda hard to beta test a game is all you get to see is a login and sync screen. No comments from me on your choice of anti-virus program.

Anyways, hang in there, -insert inspirational phrase here- What, its nearly 7am here, i'm too lazy to write something witty and inspiring right now.

Absolutely cannot get past synching your account......
Tried bout a hundred times, multiple reinstalls.
Clean system, at the end had antivirus, firewall, etc, disabled.
System specs: Win 7 x64, i7 920@2.66, 6Gb ram, gtx 560Ti, nothing overclocked.
One thing to notice, the Hawken process uses about 7-8% of my pocessor (one core) while it hangs, so i guess could be a loop.
If any dev ever reads these forums, might be a good thing to look into.
Personally, dropping this game until they get this fixed properly.
By properly meaning no synch hangups EVER.
If any dev needs usage info, feel free to ask.

It's really fun they made a game I want to play so badly but won't get past the initial account synch screen no matter how many times I I reinstall or relaunch the client.

Hi all -
We are seeing several different syncing issues. Please try different browsers to see if the sync problem occurs on one specific browser.
Also make sure you have the right ports open:

If this doesn't help, please open a support ticket and include which browser you are using, and which browsers you tried to see if the sync issue went away. Also include the fact that you did check your ports (so we don't ask again). Telling us when you encountered the sync issue (date and time, including time zone) will help us too.

I had problem with syncing i tryed a lot of thinks to make it work.
And this one worked for me :-)
If you using windows 7 go to (Hawken folder--wherever you put it)HawkenGameBinariesWin32HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe
Right click go to Run as Administrator
Thats all try it!

I had the same issue for two days and corrected it by doing 2 things:
1) Openning up the ports in my router as specified in the support section (7777-7797 if i recall correctly)
2) Run the program as an Aministrator.  If you go to the executable file (HawkenGameBinariesWin32HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe
), you can even set this permenantly by checking off the box.

Once I did these two things, i got past the "Synching Account" hang-up.

I have the same problem, I open a support ticket and everything we tried for the past week still fails to fix it... I'm probobly going to leave the game as it doesn't seem to be a way to solve this.

i also have the same problem only i have to shut down my cumputer cause the game some how is still running in the background even though i closed the window
