I work for a sign company that builds most of the large signs you see in Las Vegas and many more elsewhere in the US. The project below is being erected now and should be complete in May 2013. It's 60 feet wide, 260 feet tall, and weighs in at 1,290,000 pounds. The concrete in the footings weighs 3,819,000 pounds! It has an active matrix LED screen on both sides for a total of 22,800 square feet of screen space, made up of 24,800 8" x 16" LED cards, each with a 768 x 2416 pixel Matrix.
