Honestly I would like to see this just get stickied in the clan hall. If the devs are planning anything that would obsolete the need for an irc then the thread could just be removed whenever that happens. Until then, maximum exposure!

Some of the funniest moments I've witnessed in the Hawken community in my short time playing are in the #hawkenscrim channel.
It really has become my source to check the throbbing real time pulse of Hawken on the rare occasion I'm awake and not actually in-game.

It was mentioned in #hawkenscrim yesterday, that it would be nice to have IRC in game. CraftyDus mentioned Overwolf... so I put together a crappy little plug-in for Overwolf to display the webIRC client from quakenet.org in a semi opaque overlay window. If there is any interest in this... I will code it in something a little more elegant and get it posted to the Overwolf App store. Right now it requires you to run the Developer version of Overwolf which is also free and adds some fun capability to the app. (you can make your own crappy plug-ins!)
