The Mech Mechanic games.

The levels are well designed and ,in my opinion of course, they where designed to become a key element on your progress. Ruse use a similar approach and Star Craft II always keep the traditional axonometric view. Supreme commander II provides a good camera system where you can have a full control of your units. Games like Sins of The Solar Empire Rebellion uses a great camera system and zoom in/out scheme map and real time progress of your units. Supreme commander II makes the manipulation of the camera and unit selection natural. That's a plus for a quick comprehension of the full battle and plan development.
The Supreme Commander II is easy on the eye. It's not cluttered and the design seems to be clean cut.
This is one of the matches on youtube showing those features.
Besides it's a sin if I don't mention the influence of Homeworld II on many of these games. Sierra achieved one of the best system for micro management. This team defined one of the best systems for the RTS genre. THQ really achieved a general scheme helping other developers have a clearer idea of the genre.
The game would be better with team number assignments for key management. I'm not sure if the game in a way has it. I'm barely knowing the mechanics of it. For this type of game you use micro and macro management and algorithmic procedural paths or navigation points just for path definition and combat routes.
What I have seen the game is developed with the intention to add more expansions and sequels. I'm not sure about the unit designs and the themes in them. It's a good "table top" for what it does. I'll write more about it during my experience with the game.

P.S. I'll be keeping an eye to further details on your experience with the SupCom2 game. BTW.. you're playing the PC version of the game, isn't it_.

I miss those days of Warhammer 40k. That was a great RTS. The second one simply flunked.

I generally dislike the whole modern military anti-terrorist thing, but that game was just phenomenal in a strictly gameplay sense.

More on games.
After Hawken, Planet Side II, Arma III there are other few titles worth looking but their status is unknown or pending. One of those is Infinity Quest for Earth. And I think I previously mentioned Homeworld II among the list of great titles if I don't remember well.
Watch Dogs and Star Wars 1313 have potential but we don't know enough information to claim them as great games. They represent a graphical advance but we are not sure how good those games are.

For the most part there are very few serious games with top quality. Crytek had it but they ended up being sellouts. After EA acquired them it was pure downhill for them. The Banes on this market are Activision/EA/Ubisoft/Microsoft. There are no sign to get rid of this serious problem.

The official site states the status of the beta. It's not active. Even a brain dead baboon can figure that out in a matter of seconds.

Never spoke who made Black Mesa or Half Life 3. I simply said that I stopped caring for those games.

If you don't mind can we stay on topic in this thread, you know, speak about great games_ There's no need for me to be harsh. I know, some users enjoy my volatile personality. Please don't provoke it. I'm not in the mood for it. In another forum I considered the classical phrase "WHEN THE DUMB ASS TROLL CAN SHUT HIS MOTHERFUCKING ASS UP_". I think it was too harsh for the situation at hand on that forum because the situation asked for it. There's no doubt how such wonderful phrase gives amazing dividends and services when it is mostly needed. The downside part are the norms of etiquette we have to follow on these sites or else. It's an amazing phrase if you ask me. Sometimes such phrase may be considered for further occasions but I'm not sure, anyway.
Would be nice if we continue with the games. Thank you.
