We kind of just make do with what we have. There's no party systems, no private servers or clan support, we're expecting it soon but until then we can only have random brawls that mean nothing in the so-called "competitive scene" for this game.

No reason to be in a clan until it's implemented ingame. So no, i'm not in a clan, waiting a reason to join one.

Being in a clan is an ideal way of making friends, people you can learn from, people you can fight with or against. Having matches against other clans at the moment means nothing since the game always changes with every patch and is still unbalanced. The only thing we can accomplish is creating a bond within the community and other clans... Hawken is nowhere near a competitive state at the moment and barely even holds a game mode that can be called "competitive". (Yes, it's still in beta).

That is not exactly true. Just not very openly talked about.
those few friendly matches between ~4(per  region) clans competition_ or you run you own private tournament's with blackjack and fine women_

Competitive games in Hawken means anything besides pub matches with some semblance of organization. It's not much but it's all we have right now, not to mention the auto-switching makes setting up any match between clans or even set groups insanely frustrating at best.

But seriously, there are ways around anything, sometimes the BSB just hijacks a server because there is no other way, but you gotta do what you gotta do
