However, it's true that the devs don't have time to read all the threads, so it's hit or miss that your thread will be seen by a dev unless it becomes a popular topic or comes to their attention some other way.

Nope, not really sure about this, but what you say is what I think too.   But they'll be skipping this thread for sure since it's not a bug.
