Weapons refuse to fire after respawn

For clarity, my weapons are NOT overheating.

After some respawns, when M1 and M2 are correctly bound to primary and secondary weapons, respectively, my weapons refuse to fire. This happened fairly often and inconsistently while playing siege today. The only way to get weapons fire back is to commit suicide or return to hangar and change classes.

I didn't have to respawn to get them to work again, but I was running into this as well.  It may have happened after I dodged and unzoomed at the same time, but they did stop firing until I released the mouse button and pressed it again.

(I don't mean to necro threads, I'm just almost always running behind.  My apologies)

My issue is much more severe, because depressing the mouse buttons and refiring does nothing. I literally cannot fire anything except items unless I die first and respawn again.

the exact same thing happen to me

hit 'esc' to go to menu then 'esc' again to go back and your screens light back up and your guns are functional

for some reason when you respawn you dont always 'power up'

I reinstalled and the cockpit interface dissappearing is still a problem, can't play any game after dying once.

I've noticed this only happens right after a respawn.  The hud will only have the blue cross hairs, and not all of the other info, radar, speed, height, etc.

You will also notice when this is happening there will be faint text and very fast flashing white boxes with OK or FAIL in them.

I think what is happening is its running through the start of siege hud animation near the end where it displays all the system reports.   Its like its started playing the hud animation in the middle, and its redrawing way to fast or something thats causing it to flicker.  

It seems its timed related as to when it will start working again or not.  I can't seem to figure out how to force it to work again.  Repairing doesn't make it return, however I did not have to kill myself, I just had to wait.

If for some reason its in that hud animation sequence, that explains why it has locked out the firing of the weapons.  :blink:

After the very first respawn on MA (which doesn't even have the siege animation), every single respawn I got in a match I just finished put me in a disabled mech. People said to try hitting esc for a few seconds, and while I had the esc menu up, my HUD showed as normal through the background, but as soon as I esc'ed out, it was gone again.

I can't play Hawken like this. I hope this bug gets fixed soon.

dont escape too fast you must be in the menu for like 2 solid seconds then hit escape again

I've hit escape and waited five seconds. During the time I'm in the scoreboard/chat screen, the HUD is visible. When I come back out, nope, gone again.

My alt-weapon does not always fire on the raider.  Not sure if it is just the raider or other mechs have the same issue.  I hit the right mouse button multiple time and boom, I get killed because it won't fire.

This was happening to me in all game modes last night, regardless of map or mech.

Not every respawn, but the majority, I would respawn and the mech would not go through a complete 'start-up.' Arms-up, Cross-hairs up with the dash staying cold. I had no weapons, no radar, no HUD. I could use my items, move, boost, and occasionally was able to repair.

I discovered, after much frustration, that entering the ESC menu would show my mech as having a HUD. Testing and happenstance revealed that remaining in the menu for 3-10 seconds before exiting the menu would 'boot-up' my mech and allow full playability. Good enough for pubbing around, but this could use a fix.

A surefire way to start you mech up is to use the press to talk key for voice chat a few times. Just found that out so share the tip.

Trust me, the devs are working on it. It happens to me nearly constantly, and I've been giving the devs as much info as I can to help them try and find the problem and how to fix it.

Can I tell you this is the most irritating bug out of all the bugs so far. And the length is completely random. I will spawn and I see an enemy or I am getting shot at but I can do anything. Completely frustrating.

Man, this bug is really annoying because there is really no way of telling when it is gonna happen. Last match I played was lost because 2 of our team, including myself, had this bug, so we had to wait while all the silos were being captured.
