Didn't know that TOWs worked that way. And agree that this nerf was needed, in retrospection.
But exploding midair tactics are effected though, no_

As for the Hellfires: Well they are my most hated weapon. So i'll cry; "OP! PLZ NERF!" cause i'm a troll and hate Bruiser ;D
I was even pre patch still too stupid to dodge them right. So with better tracking, direct hits will get me even more often.
But that's really only the whining of me =)

Oh and Heat weapon nerf is ok for me, too. I don't use it, cause i'm too stupid for that , too. So no props there =)

EOC Rep. Buff is nice, cause i got my Infil near lvl 25 and planned to use it =) ( or at least try it )

On a serious note though, completely agree with the comments re: SS... I do feel these bast*rds are a tad OP as it stands personally, but that could very well be a reflection on how I play, who knows.  It can be very hard to kill them when you've got a full 6v6 game, given that you've generally gotta get through the other 5 before you can even get close, and even then they've probably killed you from you just being out in the open killing the others.  I get that thats the idea of a SS, but with the nerfs coming to the other weapons, it's going to make it that much harder to kill these f*ckers.  Well, for me anyway =P

GL did not get hit by the feathering this patch, i consider this an indirect buff. Moar playing is required to see how it compares.

With the changes to explosives SS will now stand out as a sore thumb in game balancing and hopefully will get adressed in 2 weeks.

Yes mid air detonation should be affected.
One thing that as not been mentioned is a 30% tighter grouping on the hellfires.
They will still be a potent weapon if not being aware of your positioning.
I look forward to trying them ingame.

SS ability is way out of balance right now.
as i said previously these changes will highlight exactly how out of line the powershot ability is and therefore will bring it to the devs attention and hopefully we will see a nerf in 2 weeks.

Great patch notes altough very dissapointed that the SS hasnt been tweaked at all!
Especially now when explosives have been nerfed, the SS becomes even more powerfull (well, the rest becomes less powerfull, but same effect). The game becomes increasingly more tipped towards a SS heavy game, which totally ruins the action packed gameplay. The SS on its own isnt that of a big problem, but because of the SS being powerfull it becomes more and more the mech of choise, very often 3 or even more SS on a team. Big game killer imo.

Hawken should stay a great action game, and not become a big sniper fest (as currently).

I'd prefer to have the old ability back; decent sustained damage amplification without making it too OP.

Thanks for all your work, h0b0.  This is a pretty good game as it sits now, I suspect by the time they are done it will be better than just good.

nice breakdown h0b0. this patch should bring the reaper up into the pack more too, bringing better balance to an underpowered (though over-popular chassis).

I disagree about the emp nerf. It has already been nerfed to limited use, down to the point where it is now pretty much only useful to help escape a fight (Think at end of 1v1, you win but another opponent comes in to attack you before you can run). Meanwhile there is the detonator and HE that can just help kill them outright.

When comparing the EMP to other items in that slot, it was already relatively useless, now its nerfed into oblivion :(

EMP is now even with the HE nade.

Detonator is still way to powerfull.

If EMP is so useless, then why do I still use it as an offensive item on a regular basis and why do people run away whenever they get hit by it_

EMP is fundamentally flawed. The Devs put on the same layer as say a Flashbang, But its the opposite, instead of being blind and able to shoot, you can see and you can't shoot. Its frustrating to have used on you and in my opinion, isnt fun to use. Bad for everyone involved.

Stunlock and EMP piss me off in the way that the insta-damage of the Reaper (and SS more so, but I don't run SS, so I'm not speaking to that) probably pisses other people off, so I have to wonder if that isn't balanced in a way..I'm not sure if that is better or worse than some other games, but it has me thinking.
