Hello I'm new here and I was just wondering how to change Hawken from 32bit to 64bit. I have only been playing for about a week now but the game crashes all the time for me, at least every round :(. I have been looking for a solution for the problem and it seems that its the 32 bit version that I have been playing on. I think I need to switch it to the 64 bit version. I am playing on a laptop with 8gigs of ram on windows 7, and my graphics are not that great but not that bad either. I play on the lowest settings and it doesn't look that bad. I also might need to update my drivers so I will do that first. Any help would be very appreciated and any solutions. Thanks

Hawken is compiled to run in 32-bit, and at the moment, that's all that it needs. RAM is not your problem. Something else is the problem.

What is your video card_ And what version are your graphics drivers_ (Nvidia: xxx.xx, AMD: 12.xx/13.xx)

Hawken is only made for 32-bit. There is no changing it to 64-bit on your computer.
Unless you have a dead RAM stick your problem is more than likely either your CPU or graphics card has trouble handling the demands.

Or it could be a drivers/directx/redist/etc. problem.

dam u guys may be right this is what my system says : Processor Intel r core i3-2350m cpu @ 2.30ghz, RAM: 6gb, 64 bit, number of processor cores 2, it also says total available graphics memory 1696 MB, and its DirectX 10. So maybe its my labtop that cant handle the game. real shame because this game is badass and really fun.

Dual-core 2.3GHz with 6GB of RAM and 64-bit Windows Vista/7/8 should be able to handle Hawken reasonably enough, though you won't be getting the best graphics if you want to actually be able to play.

What's your video card_ Open up dxdiag and go to the second tab, which should be Display. That should give you better information about your graphics driver.

Hold windows button and press 'r' then type in dxdiag and press enter. That will tell you about your system.

Do you have 2 computers because in one post you talk about intel chips and another about amd chips. These two are made by different companies and will not be present in the same pc.

ok sry about misleading information, no I don't have 2 computers, but  I just found the information in dxdiag and it says under system tab; BIOS: InsydeH20 version 03.61.01f.66 , processor: Intel® Core™ i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz (4 CPUs),     Memory: 6144MB RAM,    Directx11.   Now under the display tab it says; this is for device:    Chip type: Intel® HD Graphics Family,   Approx. Total Memory: 1696 MB,    Current Display Mode: 1600x900 (32 bit) (60Hz),    Finally under Drivers: Main Driver: igdumd64.dll,igd10umd64.dll,igd10um     version 8.15.10.2559 DDI version: 10.1   Driver Model: WDDM 1.1    This is all the information that I could find using dxdiag so maybe I don't have a video card and again thank you for all your fast replies and help. Again I'm not to good with computers but I am learning

You have a video card, and it's the Intel HD Graphics Family bit.

Do you get error messages when Hawken crashes_ If so, what are they_

Sorry for not coming back to this thread sooner, I was busy with RL stuff.

Could you please check the sticker (usually on the bottom of the laptop) and report the exact model number_ The G7 is a series of notebooks and not a single item. I'm thinking it's a driver problem, but rather than simply tell you "go update your drivers" and let you figure it out from there, I'm hoping to be able to point you at a link and say "download and install that".
