Just posting to say how excited I am for this game! As soon as my eyes saw it in Action I knew that I was gonna have a long history with it. ;)

I've played many Giant Robot, Mecha, Personal Trooper And Pilot Simulation Games in my time so when this game called for me to play it I Instinctively said Yes!

It's my goal to eventually get to design, build, and pilot a Giant Robot (Or at least make something similar to Kuratas and get to pilot that lol) so I consider all of this this part of my Training for that goal.

Anyway, It's Great to be here and I wish you all luck on the Battlefront!

Welcome.

Are you any good with physics_ You'll need to be good at it when you want to build robots, unless you do the programming.

Thanks for the Welcome! :)

Also to answer your question I'm more on the Programming and Practical Engineering side of things. I have a friend who handles the physics department when it comes to our designs and I readjust them to match his specifications accordingly......That and he's also the guy who tells me why certain designs features may look cool for a video game mech but why it wouldn't work in real life lol

Actually some have argued that Legs can be beneficial for some Vehicle Weapons due to the fact that they can be positioned almost on any Land Terrain, as opposed to Tank Treads or Wheels. Quadrupedal works so well because it eliminates almost all balance issues! ;)

I see, I see. Personally I've always liked the idea of a snake-like mecha. No legs, numerous joints/compartments, each compartment detachable if damaged.

Guess that'll be more akin to a lizard and its tail than a snake...

One of the five elements that build the Earth, o great creator of flames. The light of salvation that gives birth to life, the light of judgment that punishes evildoers. While bringing peace and stability at the same time, it also destroys the cold and dark misfortune. Fire is the name, sword is the title! Show yourself, swallow thyself, turn it into power!

Ah that type. Yeah I could understand why you would like that, there's actually a model of Drone being developed along the lines of that for the Military with a Camera on it's head so it can peak around corners and hide in small areas.....Of course it's smaller scale and doesn't have any weapons attached to it but it's still pretty close to what you're saying! :)

Oooh that's a good one! I'm more of a fan the Original Series for aesthetic reasons but 02 too was still good too!

Would Zoids be considered a mecha show_ I've pretty watched them all, but the idea of piloting a giant dinosaur mecha still appeals to me. >.>
