Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun.

Fun fact: I actually got this game for free during a trip to Best Buy many years ago. My parents had bought some stuff, and the checkout clerk asked us which game I would like. My parents and I looked at one another, unsure what she was referring to. The clerk pulled out two boxes (back when PC games came in huge boxes :P) from behind the counter. Apparently they were having some sort of special where if you bought enough stuff, you got to choose a PC game from a selection of two. I hadn't heard of either game before (I think the other was a racing game). She asked if I liked strategy games. I said yes, and she handed me C&C. She said "You'll love this one. It's really good". She was right. I played that game for hours, and have been hooked on the C&C series ever since. :)

Well the first PC game I ever played was probably a learning game called Addy Junior. My parents bought it because they thought i could learn something by playing games (great idea IMO).

What really got me hooked on PC though...
Spoiler

Right now I'm not particularly looking forward to any upcoming titles (there are a few that spark my interest but I won't feed that money-making AAA-game-producers with their DLCs any longer)

Mech warrior 3 I think, there was one more before that but I can't remember the name.(yeah I'm old). I played on the Atari system(the original) and wasted many a night in the early 80's drinkin beer and playing pong.

I began playing PC gaming when my brother show me Maplestory. I quit Maplestory though, since I could get to level 200 in like 3 days. And even now the new updates for Maplestory gives away the old gameplay away, too. Then, I found Hawken and been in love ever since.

Ken's Labyrinth, Corncob 3D, and Wolfenstein/Doom really launched me into PC gaming. Been a staunch gearhead and advocate ever since.

My fist pc game was a phonics learning game they had at my old elementary school (dont know what it was called),i played it in first grade and couldn't really get away from it. It was on a macintosh. Then one of the teachers at a private school i went to for awhile in 5th grade had Heroes of might and magic II, I think that was when I started to really get into it, I still didnt have a pc at the time I played that and Duke Nukem at her house. But a little after that my parents finally got a pc, that was around when starcraft came out, yea it was full on addiction from then on.

Red Alert 2 back in grade 5 i believe, good times.
Too bad EA ruined the franchise, and RA3 is a bunch of bs.
First real multiplayer game i'd have to say Runescape back in 2005

It was scary. And the multiplayer was awesome. I still play it occasionally now that with Aleph One it has mouse support and other improvements.

After that it was Myth and Myth II - still some of the most fun gaming online I've ever had. Sending out your little exploding dwarves... The glory days of Bungie before they sold out to Microsoft.
