The only thing you need is strategy and logical assumtions when to fire them and sometimes where to dumbfire in close fights. But's it's like in most weapons like REV, EOC, TOW etc.

You know that the lock-on isn't automatic and that simply locking onto an enemy doesn't really mean you're going to hit your target, right_

and I do not understand second part, your point is_ as it's the same as most secondary weapons... enemy can dodge or hide...
