Again_ not for me lol,i found several other threads on the subject but no poll and i do use the Bruiser/Rocketeer when no one use Hellfire on my team.

Hellfire feel like the AWP in cs1.5(im 29 yo),its technically not OP but agaisnt a team with 4 AWP users,CS became annoying really fast and most severs lock that weapon to a maximum of 2 for each team,i think Hellfire should have that same treatement on public match.

To be honest,Hawken is a hard game to master and alot of players go the easy way and thats Hellfire for you! the weapon is fine but the players base over using it make it annoying and feel a bit OP.

I wouldn't call it spam. more like a unfriendly reminder to the poster that the topic has been discussed to death, beat with a sharp pointy object, scalped, reaaranged its intestines, cut its esophagus in two and punctured the lungs with haci punctures by accident.

It isn't that the hellfires are OP.. it is that they are too strong for how easy it is to use them. They are not game changers, they are just doing slightly more than they should. Thus I don't consider that OP.

The best way I can give you an example is if we look at the predator.
It is a high skill, high reward mech. Thus in good hands it can do a lot, but it requires that level of skill to do.

Mech's with hellfires on the other hand
Low skill, med-high reward. And the skill ceiling on the weapon is not near as high. So the difference between a good player and a great player is very low. The weapon does a lot of the work for you.

I personally don't feel that hellfires are OP as much as they are just infuriating.  The ability to lock onto Predators in Pred-mode is... strange.

That's a bug that IMO should be hot fixed as soon as possible haha.

Personally, I think there should be more options in the poll as I myself didn't vote OP but I don't think they are OK. I think the majority of people do not enjoy the input -> reward requirement that hellfires have in comparison to other secondaries. Indirectly maybe you could consider it OP, since the input normally reserved for the secondary (in focus, apm, aiming etc) can instead be allocated to other areas of influence while piloting your mech, but that may in itself be a stretch and require cat-scans (and the majority of mechs suffer from this in one form or another).

Yeah not easy to dodge when half of the opposing team has them in the loadout, sorry.  So you have the TOW which requires constant attention given that it's a dumb fire rocket rather then a fully pack of 4 guided missiles, which does moderate damage but again does not guide in anyway thus it is not a TOW honestly. then you have the Hellfire pack which is fully lock-on and guided, quick to acquisition targets regardless of range, their turning speed is quick so dodging isn't the most solid counter.  So tell me comparing the two, how is the Hellfire balanced in any way_

Hellfires was one of the best things after Ascension, but due that people thinking "Dey ar Ty harrd tu us, nedds buf!!1111!" they are now less fun then the SA-Hawkins.
I`ll fix it later.

This is what I see going through Bruisers mind when he sees me on Bazaar.

"HA! A lone scout about 500M away." Hits middle mouse button and locks on. "Take this!" Fires HF. "Hmmm... He dodged them. No matter I shall do it again. HA! One of them hit! He sees me! What am I going to do! He is 250M away. Spam fire Vulcan! He is getting close but taking some damage. He hit me with a Flak and TOW. ARG! He is right around the corner! What am I going to do_ I know!" Hits F; ability engaged. "Now I got this!" Comes around corner spamming HF and Vulcan. "HA! The coward scout it running around the corner! I am so pro. I only started last week but I can beat a level 30 easily! NEXT!!!"

I am getting tired of those Bruisers and Assaults.

The move you´re describing with the scout explains  why you die a lot against hellfires. the only advantage that hellfires has, is the lock on, otherwise the lower damage, the lockon load time, the reduced seeking and how easy you can use enviroment cover to avoid them (and trusth me, is EASY), is a huge handicap against this weapon, Sadly a lot of players move around the maps like walking on the beach, just like if the armor was the same than the previous version, and play happy in the middle of the map, feeling invincible, no my friend, those times just ended, now you have to play thinking in all the other mechs and their respective hability/weapon, (this including SS, Reaper, etc), and learn to fight back, take use of the ADVANTAGES of YOUR mech, instead of think in the supposed overpower of the other Mech, and lern to move over the map, otherwise, that´s one way ticket to die, and of course, a trip to the forum to complain about a weapon that has been constantly nerfed over and over. BTW,  I use Grenadier mostly, so, no hellfire lover here, but someone who is rarelly  killed by one.
