That sounds like a good idea. I think instead of adding different game modes, the squad search could be modified. The squad search would search for other parties with the same size as yours. For example: if your party has 4 players in total and you use the squad search it will search for other 4 player parties. if your party has 2 players in total and you use the squad search it will search for other 2 player parties, etc.

There's a problem though and that is the current relatively small player population. If players are split into even more different game modes it will be impossible for the matchmaker to find a good match (similar skill level, same party size, good ping, etc.). So this idea would work best once the amount players in all skill tiers starts to rise (hopefully some weeks after the official Steam launch).
