If your ping is lower than 70 (80 is the deadline) SA Hawkins is a must have. Otherwise don't bother.

For the SA Hawkins, I don't even know why it's available for the brawler.
Once again, if your ping is low, SA Hawkins will wreck anyone and anything in the mid-range battle. This is a 90 DPS automatic sniper weapon we're talking about here.

Sorry, flak is best for Brawler. If you really hate it that much, then go for the Vulcan.

Is it a good combo_  Yes.  The DPS is pretty good and the range is excellent, greatly increasing your ability to fight in the open or deal with snipers.

Should YOU get it_  That's hard to say.  The vulcan might be more your style.  It depends which you value more, versatility (Hawkins) or raw firepower (Vulcan).

No. I have the vulcan on my brawler, and it wrecks people, they are scarred for life once they see it, if you camp in turret mode on origin or wreckage  with the vulcan, you will get many kills.

Well, I used Vulcan on my Assault and I didn't like it too much. It has spin up time and it is only for close ranges.

In my experience the SA Hawkins overheats way too quickly.

That, and I never fight at medium range.
I always seem to fight people at close range, which is why I prefer the FLAK and Vulcan.

FLAK and Vulcan are both great weapons, and when used well, are stomping material on the Brawler.

SA hawkens is what I used to deal damage from afar and gain advantage by damaging as many enemy mechs as possible. It's a great primary, but you should monitor your heat status very closely.

SA Hawkins is great on open maps like Last Eco and Bunker. I personally switch between SA Hawkins and Flak depending on the map.

Use the SA Hawkins if you prefer to fight at mid range. At close range, it will fall short against a vulcan or SMC. If you want to be a close range brawler and not use the flak, take the vulcan. I personally hate using the vulcan but it'll get the job done at close range.

Hawkins Brawlers can be terrifying on open maps, especially as support for a Sharpshooter.

The Hawkins Brawler has enough HP to stay fighting even after taking a couple hits, and can repair without having to completely withdraw from a fight. It also has much better close range ability than the Sharpshooter, with its higher HP and TOW secondary. It can be really effective working as a body guard for the Sharpshooter, too. It can be nicely effective at long range, and remains dangerous even at close range. So it can hang back with the Sharpshooter and help with support fire, and then can tank for the Sharpshooter when an enemy gets too close. Having a turreted Hawkins Brawler constantly picking away at you while trying to deal with the rest of its team is really nasty, too. It is a high enough threat that you need to deal with it quickly, but it is also tough enough that you cannot deal with it very quickly.
