Time to bring this thread back up!
I'm currently watching Captain Earth (a mecha anime being animated by BONES!
). The animation and quality of the whole show itself is very pretty so far. It's a very recent show (only 2 episodes out now) but I think it has it's merit. I can't wait for more.

Decided to give Elfen Lied a go and this is some old school drama thriller stuff with lots of dismemberment and decapatations

mekaku city actors. just saw episode 1 that just came out and already loving it. the character designs are freaking aweome. if you want something less crazy than usual shows (shoutout to kill la kill) then this will be perfect for you. btw, the animation is so good, it hurts
