As an Assault, I took cover slightly more than I did my Scout but that "habit" stuck with me and it eventually started giving me consequences for my Raider, especially when you're trying to ambush the enemy team.
Raiders have 515 health. A little more than an Assault.
I played Raider as a Scout still (because fuzzy bunny ability is making me all nostalgic about the scout LOL)
and i still couldn't pull of the speed I kept aching for as an a mech pilot, but then it hit me.
"Use it as a raider." I told myself.
I creeped behind the enemy team. I picked one. My prey. hehehehe.
FUZZY BUNNY ACTIVATE.
I'm skiing across half of Bunker chasing my nemesis and his fuel tires out, half of his health gone.
Half of my health is too, but my fuel tank is FULL HAHAHA thanks enemy team! They won't be here for another 10 seconds. It's just you and me.
He gets up. Dodges my first corsairs but is at half a tank.
"I'm overheating, I've almost got him damn it. How should I play this damn thing!!_"
F**k, I'm down to 15% health, but my evasive device internal kicks in, making me even more nostalgic about the scout and I continued trying to play the raider that way (goddamnit)
He's 20%!! What should I do_ WAIT.
I GOT IT. I fuzzy bunny GOT IT.
Let's make a bet Mr. Assault, the enemy team is almost here...I gotta use a technique that has long been a famous war style.
Kamakazie.
Getting in balls deep. Getting out with your legs blown off, but you're still alive fuzzy bunny.
Corsair charged. Point. Remember use the indicators for your aiming. The indicator below the point will shoot the Corsair perfectly straight (I've tested it several times in offline co op)
Doing the math, he's 10% now. 15% minus 10% is 5% of course.
I'm right in front of this guys face. I could only think of the words he was saying to himself of at the moment.
"oh fuzzy bunny"
Right click.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Literally have 5 health, half a tank of fuel generates from my fuel converter internal thanks to damaging my self in the process. My replenisher internal also activates as I'm in sneak mode in front of the enemy.
Ability comes up. Enemy team is on the horizon, just a second from awareness.
HIT DAT F - SHIFT - W KEY LIKE A FUZZY BUNNY
Allies toss a shield towards me homing back into friendly lines. God I love my team sometimes.
The Technician seemed surprised, I guess in his viewpoint I looked like I had 0 health lol
He jumped up and activated his godly turquoise EU showers and came on me as he shoved his repair torque up my Raider's thruster.
We won the sudden death. I'm still shaking from it. HOLY fuzzy bunny my heart is still pounding.
The Raider. It has more health than a scout for a reason.
You are a close quarters mech. You take damage to deal damage. C classes are very familiar with this, and technically B class mechs can do this more often than they think because unlike A mechs they can afford to at many times.
I still kept the spirit of the Scout but behaving differently in later battles, not giving a single fuzzy bunny about my health and just riding the wave. Raiders are expendable mechs. I would rush in there, emp, deal as much damage as I can until exhausting myself.
Distracted by aiming at me, the enemy team ignores the rest of my allies for a short duration to finally take me out, but then allies rush in to deal more damage.
I respawn, Blitz right away and reach the enemy line seconds after i died and continue the same process until my team obliterates the leftover healing and weakened mechs.
That's the spirit of the Raider.
Think of your self as a disgusting murderer from hell who doesn't give a fuzzy bunny.
Balls deep.
