No really, why do they look like this now_  Why is there now less visual customization in a newer version of the game_

This is a test. These changes are not final. Things will change between now and tomorrow, even.

I personally like the fact that the mechs don't look like generic clipart from a forgotten Mechwarrior tabletop supplement. They fit in with Hawken's world a lot better than generic Battletech models.

TV Mech needs love too, y'know.

I'm guessing its all tied into the free-to-play model. There needs to be desirable objects to spend money/points on so your mech can't look too badass when starting out. Looking forward to the progression system!

i just thought the alpha mechs were way cooler lookin.

thats all. but its just cosmetics and it doesnt affect gameplay anyway.

why do so many people seem to overlook the fact that this is just a beta and in no shape or form the final version (or even an indicator) of what things will be when the game will be released.

do you really think they just trashed all those visual assets from previous version _

they said they would add a patch before server open tomorrow too. maybe the rest will be in there

Totally agree new mechs look awful and low poly. Sharp shooter = vomit.
