this is a hot topic at the support forum, but has anyone of you guys that already play the closed beta actually had this error and managed to get playing the game after the message posted on the title and what did u do to make it work_

The error you are getting is because the servers are currently down overnight. The closed beta test does not begin for another eight hours or so. Nobody has been able to play online.

People have been able to play OFFLINE after successfully downloading the game.

This is only a hot topic at the support forum because people are fizzy-headed fuzzy bunnies and don't know how to use the search function or the basics of common sense.

It just means your connection timed out, try again a little later and hope the servers are under a little less stress. This only applies to downloading the client, the game servers will still not be up until 12pm noon pacific time (gmt-8)

yeah nice, perhaps i can download the game before the game goes up on the times they mentioned

New to these forums but it seems like a pretty hostile place, I totally understand if you want to inform someone to use search functions or read up on how to fix problems with PC's etc but don't be a fuzzy bunny about it.

It's only a hostile place when you have 30 people asking the same question in under an hour, a question that shouldn't even need to be asked considering it's a beta and the beta period hasn't even started.

And if that's hostile, I'll put on the fuzzy mittens for next time, because I'll need a soft touch from here on.

just saw the thread you mentioned elix... its amazing how many ppl actually post before reading anything and even ignored earlier posts that stated clearly that the beta haven't started yet.

understandable tho... means lots of ppl are over excited and impatient.

Os: Windows 8 Professional.
I had not any problem downloading and partecipating the Alpha test.

okay so servers are down thank you. but when i used the forum search i only found your reply on my post on the subject elsewhere. also yesterday i had trouble with dll files from directx 11. these problems applied on hawken and tribes ascend. do you know how to sort this out_  already tried various things myself like reinstalling directx11 and reinstalling the games

Sounds like an issue with either DirectX or your graphics drivers. Make sure your drivers are up to date. Good luck, because I don't have anything more specific.

Man, they release the download BEFORE the start of the closed beta server because they want people to play when beta's servers go up, and not download. So they could fix the problem to make people download now while servers are down.
Woulda be great_ People downloading while the servers are up and running, and some people are playing, when everybody received the e-mail at the same time.
I'm not complaining about the problem, i'm aight with it and obviously will wait til the problem get a fix.
