Download the file from there.
The file might be currupted.
Bad idea.  Not only is it not the full install that is expected, but you have no way to verify that it has not been tampered with.  Do it right and download the DX install from microsoft.  it's a free download and install.

Suggest for the list, how to properly post a bug.
  • Search the bug report forum and make sure what you were going to report is not already listed.

  • If it is not, read the sticky post that details what info to put into the bug report and the format of the report.

  • Post the info.
  • Do not post anything that you are not sure is a bug.  Always search the forum for what you are seeing/experienced before posting anything.
  • Do not add to an existing post in the bug reporting forum anything that does not have anything to do with the post subject.

I know what i'm Doing, Why would i post wrong solutions_
You should search before posting, He have already download DX and updated it too.

You sure you know what you're doing_ You seem to just copied and word for word suggestions on the web and never give credit to the sources you taken it from.  Does about.com article http://pcsupport.abo...ssing-error.htm ring a bell_

Secondly, I agree with bacon avenger 100% about the suggestion that it's never a good idea to download the .dll file directly from any site other than where it originates from.  I'm sure you seen votes for the xapofx1_5.dll on there but you have no idea if it's been tampered in anyway. I even tested the site and uploaded a fake .dll called test32.dll and it uploaded the file without verifying anything.
  • For xapofx1_5.dll just download the "redistribution" version of DX 9.0c.
  • From there you can use the program to extract it to a place where you can easily find it.
  • Open the cab file JUN2010_XAudio_x86.cab and you will see XAPOFX1_5.dll in there.
  • Go to System32 folder in C: and search for the older XAPOFX1_5.dll file.
  • Backup your older XAPOFX1_5.dll by renaming it to XAPOFX1_5.dll.bak in case something goes wrong it will still be there.
  • Drag and drop the newer dll file directly into system32 folder.
  • Now see if your game actually works this time.

If you don't want to download it if you have steam sometimes games there will have a smaller version of the redistribute version where you can extract the file from the same JUN2010_XAudio_x86.cab file.

That should be the better way of giving out the solution. Keep up the good work on the rest though.

As much as I hate to say it...

I tried that dll suggestion yesterday, and Avast did not pop up any thing. Got the problem on my computer, and had it install the file I needed.

However, the computer froze up afterwards, I had to shut it off, and was unable to try connecting to any Internet connection / run any CDs.

Had to System Restore as a result, so that idea is a no-go. Sorry.

Edit: Yes, I did every thing right. I also did a Boot-scan on my Computer the day before, and my Comp's never had problems.
