Kind of a long shot, but do you by chance have DEP (Data Execution Protection) switched on globally_

Right click on Computer in the start menu, Advanced System settings, Advanced tab (in System Properties dialog box), click settings in the performance frame, Data Execution Protection tab.

If the top radio button is selected, you should be good (this is the default) which is: "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only".

If the other option "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" is selected, you either need to switch to the first or add an exception for Hawken (HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe).

If you don't feel comfortable messing with this setting, maybe someone else will have a different suggestion.

Dirty fans (GPU and/or CPU..) may cause unexpected and fatal crashes.

That's why I do suggest checking out very well on how clean your fans are before moving forward and trying to rationalize what's going on...

Most of the times people forget about that thus I'd suggest this as first step before moving forward...

Although the reasons may be many... although hoping this helps somehow.
