Does a direct hit of a weapon such as the TOW rocket or grenade deal the same damage as splash damage of such weapons_

No, there is a stepped fall-off by distance with direct being the full damage and the last effective step is the minimum damage, there was a chart with all this numbers on it at one point...

TOW and GL both deal 125 damage when hit directly or if the enemy is within 4 meters of the explosion of TOW or 4.62 meters of GL.

TOW has a 12 meter radius, and at the very edge the minimum damage is 52.785.
GL has a radius of 14 meters and the minimum damage is 50.
After falloff start range the damage starts falling off linearly until it reaches the minimum damage point.


edit: had wrong numbers for GL's falloff start distance and TOW's minimum damage, at least according to Hawken's Salty Stats page: https://docs.google....1#gid=416460446. The image has been replaced with a new one.

edit 2: tested TOW minimum damage ingame and the lowest damage I can get with it is 46.43 (325 damage in 7 shots). Says something about how you can't trust them numbers someone has dug up somehow. GL having 50 minimum damage appears to be true, but testing it is harder. Verifying the ranges is almost impossible. Won't update the graph, let it stick with the "official" truth as long as the basic gist of the damage dealing is delivered.
