Howdy all,
I am having trouble getting stuck both after logging in when it says "Synching account" and after I leave a server where it says the same.  During log in, it says that I am connected to chat, and I can see my friends leave when it pops up the little message - but it never gets me to the main screen. Same will happen if I leave a server.

I've left it open for more than an hour and it just hangs there.

Any ideas_ Should I reinstall_ Is it a server-side issue_
Thanks!
Teb

Hi, there's a database migration process that's been going for weeks now. It should be finalized in the near future, ending that problem for players (hopefully). Myself I have such problems from time to time. And even if it doesn't get stuck, syncing usually takes around 10-30 seconds for me all the time. Blame the Tunisian internet baby.

Reinstalling probably won't help. Did you already check if there is a Hawken-related error record in Window's event viewer_ If so please post the excact wording of the error title and error description in this thread.

Here are some suggestions that might help with further identifying the cause of the problem:
  • Try playing on your computer with a different account and check if you still get the problem.
  • Try playing on a different computer in your network with your account and check if you still get the problem.

Okay, while logging in and stuck on "syncing" for about 10 minutes, I alt-tabbed to open up event viewer.  After about 3 minutes Hawken crashed. This hasn't happened before, so it may just be related to be alt-tabbed_

I will post err details in replies below.

Let me know if that needs to be formatted better.

I see that the Kernelbase.dll was listed in those error records. This support article might help you with fixing the problem: https://playhawken.z...-Kernelbase-dll

I created a new account, no difference still stuck at 'syncing'.  I was able to log in once this afternoon, but most times it just hangs. :-/

Kind of a bummer given I've just bought a bundle.

In that case it is most likely a PC related or connection related problem. Did you try the steps listed in the support article that I posted earlier_

This is still happening. Reevolve I highly doubt it is a PC problem. A connection issue isn't beyond reason, but still unlikely. A couple days over the long weekend I was able to log in and get past the "syncing" screen (what is that even supposed to mean_) in a short amount of time, like 30 seconds.  However since Sunday probably, I haven't been able to get in at all and it just hangs on the syncing screen until I kill the process.

It can't be more than a couple of KB that needs to be synced, so I can only imagine that this is a server side bug or a data problem related to my account. I'll open a support ticket, but at this point I have low levels of faith that it will be responded to.

While i'm not a game programmer, I am a software dev and this is just plain embarrassing for a piece of software to do.
