What this game needs, more than ANY new mech designs_

Some new maps!

so, my suggestions:

Give us one that is in a desert!, Similar to Bunker, but much bigger. This would encourage teams to stay close for support, but give flankers like the infiltrator room to maneuver. just a BIG, OPEN map with lots of sand dunes!

How about a maze map_ lots of  corridors and tunnels and branching paths. And not just two dimensional. multiple floors and levels, with a few open "courtyards".

Or, and this is my favorite idea, a NIGHT MAP! Where we all battle in darkness, and all the mechs use nightvision (basically, just change the players perspective from day time to a night vision look)_

Night vision will make the predator's heat vision useless, and will make it's cloaking ability (along with the infil's) useless too.

We don't want anymore open maps. We want a metropolis kind of map, like, a mech factory for example. It can be nighty for example, but there should be a lot of lights that will make things look clear.

I agree with Spliff that we need some big open simpler maps and either desert or arctic wastes would work also should be an easier task for the developers to get out.
The general frustration all the players have at the moment is no new content.
Big open maps would also allow you to have some form of mobile capture the flag game mode ie some form of monster resource carrier delivering to a depot adding some EU stations for fuel would also allow some elements of siege to be added.

I don't understand peoples obsession with big, open maps, when around 75% of the mech in the game are optimized for mid to close range combat. Not to mention the mechanics of the game are optimized for that too.

Totally agree. I sincerely HATE Bunker. Pick rocketier => win. What is this_ Absolutely right, a giant pile of horsesh!t.
P.S. Next time guys look at map sugesion threads. They do exist, just look carefully.
