I have lots of names. Too many to track. One of them is Monkey. So you can call me that.

If you know who I am, my official view is that it's the donation plans.

If you don't, I shall give an introduction.

I am Monkey. I play Scout competitively in TF2. I also play heavy modded minecraft, and GTA V.

A IRL friend of mine has dragged me into this game.

It seems interesting.

So I shall play.

I would like some help transferring over. My hitscan aim is very good.

Also if I could get some help simplifying the HUD, that would be great.

You can turn off XP callouts and such under 'General Settings'. You can also swap out your crosshairs and change friendly/neutral/enemy colors under "Customize HUD' (found on the right hand corner of the screen in your garage, under cosmetic options).

However, the HUD is actually pretty simple. It could be cleaner, but it certainly isn't muddled, like it is in Planetside 2. Give it time and you should be able to adapt to it. If you have any specific questions in regards to it, ask and you'll get an answer.

As for transferring over, I'm afraid I can't give you much help in that. I've never played TF2, so I can't say how Hawken compares to it. However, this tutorial series might be helpful to you (though keep in mind that it is old, and some elements have been tweaked, such as health values and walk speed).

Good luck, and let us know if you have any further questions!

Yeah, but dude, we are at 1750. As much as we would like to be Professional Yolodrivers like you [Meraple] and Lightangel112, we're not there yet. It's something to aspire to, sure, but there's a lot of ground to cover.

The HUD is essentially locked. The only "adjustments" are cosmetic, or toys. See "Cockpit" under Garage in the Hawken game window.
For a condensed version of mech descriptions and related mech "family trees", see the which mech link below. Surf these forums, my friend, there is an enormous wealth of help and infos contained herein!
Welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard, Pilot! And hello, fellow TF2er! What division did you play_ Highlander or 6's_ Anyhow, as for your requests. Yes, the HUD is rather stationary, but it's all pretty much need-to-know stuff. As for the best way to transfer your skills, I would say pick up a Reaper. It's an A class, so it's super light and mobile. It uses exclusively hitscan weapons, and has respectable burst damage. it also comes pre-equipped with a Detonator, which is basically a slow moving rocket. Also, learning the ropes with Fred will let you branch out into other axes, since most have a hitscan primary and a projectile secondary. Hope this helps!

The reaper is also one of the cheapest mechs. Just an addition there.

yeah, reaper is ok, but if you like scout on tf2, running around shotgunning people in the back, then you're going to love scout here, it's the fastest of the mechs and you get a shotgun ^___^
