If you are at less than 100% armor, starting a repair will cancel side dashes and 180 spins. Thus tapping your repair key can stop these moves instantly and allow you to do stuff like the gif below.

It will almost certainly not be more effective than a normal dash reversal, but now you know.
On second thought let's not go to #hawkenscrim. Tis a silly place.

You can also side dash out of the repair animation at any time before it starts actually repairing you.

You can also turn the camera during the repair animation and you will automatically end up facing the direction when you leave it.  I have a weird feeling you can use this to break the turn cap, but the amount of buttons you need to press make this more annoying than effective.

I think the turn rate cap still applies to the third person repair cam.

I've canceled my dashes on my A-classes (A-classes dodge 28m) to accurately get behind thin cover, but as a cancel into new movement vector type_ No. Interesting find there! :)

Does this apply to 180 spins as well_ Because if so you could break the turn rate cap.

I'll test it myself a bit later.

It works on a 180, but you can only turn one direction with it.

But there's also no cooldown on the 180, so if you do a shortened 180 combined with a full 180 you can hit any turn in 360 degrees. With the break where you tap c, I don't know if you would actually exceed the turn rate cap though.

I don't think the turn rate cap applies to the 180 turn, as it's different from turning the camera with the mouse. That's just my guess
