I present, courtesy of our dumb, tired, post-practice asses...

The Floor is Lava.

On Origin. Which isn't ideal. And we weren't all on the same team. Which is even less than ideal.

Still, good fun.

i just wish i understood why I have issues recording in HD

Yeah, but dude, we are at 1750. As much as we would like to be Professional Yolodrivers like you [Meraple] and Lightangel112, we're not there yet. It's something to aspire to, sure, but there's a lot of ground to cover.

is it just my video player or is the video really shaky_

Looks fun but I shouldn't watch the whole thing since I have an eyesight problem.

Yeah, his recording software has an FPS cap. I'd guess it's locked at 25-30 FPS. That's what it looks like, anyways. I refuse to believe that Amid plays with that much input lag.

Oh wow, that is bad. That's not what it looked like when I uploaded it at all.

I've undone the anti-shake, it should be good in about an hour when youtube's done shitting itself.

Though I do have problems recording. There seems to be skipped frames when I record at 720 and recording at 1080 is just too much for my video card, apparently. Any idea what the issue might be_ Recording from 1920x1080 downscaled to 1280x720 with a 25Mbs bitrate at 60fps. 30Mbs was again just too much.

What's your setup for computer and recording software_  Some good tools are CPU-Z and GPU-Z for resource monitoring.  A problem I had with frame skipping was when I was recording to the same drive I had Hawken installed on (WD 10k Raptor) which couldn't handle the simultaneous read/write speeds, so maybe try another drive if that's an option.

People seem to knock fraps, but in my past experience as long as you're dumping your raw uncompressed video onto a separate disk, it seems to work fine even on older hardware. OBS is likely same or better.

I assume you're just recording and not streaming, which opens up more options. Are you compressing your output in OBS or keeping it raw_ I'm guessing going raw will put more load on your disk (shouldn't be a problem if it's a separate disk) and way less load on your processor / vid card (if that's what's doing real-time video compression). You can just compress to x264 or whatever after editing.

The problem could be rendering from raw to final version. Do you post render, or upload as it is when you recorded it_

OBS records directly as .flv and I can't seem to change that at all.

Encoding is set to x264 and it seems that .flv is all that it will output

I'm gonna try fraps later tonight, see if that works better.
