The Teleporter is an item which builds 2 teleporter pads, standing on one of them would teleport a mech to the other.
This could have a big influence to defence, because mechs being able to go back to the battle when respawning allows for the defence to stand much longer, you would destroy both if you shoot one down.

There's already a teleport in the arena. I could easily see that being employed in some NEW maps once the devs get back at it.

I've only seen one game do teleports to an OK extent. And that was TFC. It had FAR more people playing, had FAR bigger maps and was FAR more team oriented than Hawken is. But do note, both are quite different and only share the fact they are a fps game mainly.

As Hawken stands now, people die to fast for real team play. It is more akin to CoD which is just mainly a TDM game. And I am not sure how teleporters would work well in that constant mobile environment. Also it could seriously hamper the meta in a bad way for games such as siege or missile assault.

Static teleporters have been used in the old 2D tank shooter BZFlag for decades. They're "OK", but more annoying than anything really useful, either in DM or TDM modes, what there are of them.

Make me happy. Just give me something big and nasty, then let me take it out and blow up Stuff with it.

I had a similar idea last year... but it seemed people really hated the very notion of it.  I still think it could be fun and could even work.

Buildible teleporter - no.
Map-implemented stationary teleporter - yes.
This game desperately needs more Quacke crossovers.
You better shouldn't do !!Science!!, 'cos i will bring it to you myself.
