AMD 1090t 3.6
MSI 660ti 2g

Noticed game is only using ~50% GPU while games like BF3 use 99%

Firefights drop to ~30fps on low

As of this beta test it is pretty much unplayable for me. I don't remember it being this bad back in the alpha client either

Q6600@3Ghz
GTX 470
4Gb ram

Trying to run at 1920 x 1080, i get around 30 fps in the garage alone... and ingame it drops to the 14-20 range on low settings...
Graphics card is being utilized to 20%-35%, CPU from 60%-75%, and as stated in other posts - zooming in will increase fps by 10-15 frames.

can't play like this...There is little to no reason why this game would run any worse then UT3. Even if it had twice as much eye-candy it should still be puting out v-synced 45-60fps on anything like gtx460/hd6850 and above in 1080p.
To me, even putting the game in 800x600 doesn't seem to make much difference during the match.

Have you guys added the game in nVidia control panel_ You actually have to go to 3d control panel, look for a file called hawkengame-win32-shipping.exe and add that file. After which you select it to run with whichever graphics card you want it to run with. The problem i think is that 3d control panel does not recognize hawken unless you manually make it recognize it. Please try this and let me know if it worked for you since it worked for me.

no wonder my casual little ASUS cant even get 10...-.-

-4Gb Ram
-some crappy intel GPU

You guys have something much bigger at play causing low fps.

I've got a i5 2500k, 8gb ram, GTX 560ti and I can easily remain around the 40-60fps being closer to 60 all the time.

Game runs pretty poorly at 1600x900 on low settings. Only gets around 30 fps in the garage, playing the game drops it down to around 15.
System Specs:
Intel Core i7-3610QM
nVidia Geforce GT650M
8GB DDR3@1600

Was hoping this'd be fixed after the game went into Closed Beta, but oh well.

Yeah that was the first thing I tried to get some extra frames, nothing that I changed(admittedly I didn't go through every setting) gave anything worthwhile. And I don't plan on spending a few hours in nvidia inspector trying to find the perfect setup either... plus I don't have any more time in this weekend event.

I hope I don't piss people off, but I find it rather ridiculous how people actually whine about not getting 50-60 FPS with their rigs; I'd be past satisfied with getting a solid 30 FPS right now with my machine.

I should also point out that anyone with an underpowered machine in terms of the graphics card (and possibly the CPU) will also see decent yields with this setup.  After further tweaking the settings to have the game played in a window at 1080x720 (or whatever that resolution setting is), the game is quite playable with a framerate at roughly 12-14 FPS on average (up to possibly 20-fps on Sahara! :D)

I'm about to see if I can still make this work with the fullscreen still in place, given everything's been reset (AGAIN!) after the latest patch.

EDIT: So I tried out with the fullscreen.  Now it may be because I've left my browser open and performance usually drops in online games when the browser's up, but I'm managing a meager 8-10 frames right now (takinga  brief respite from a Team DM ATM.)  I'll likely stick with my windowed low resolution solution. :)

wasa it like this for you since the start of the beta weekend or did you join today, sunday_ I ask bcs I haven't played since saturday, I got pretty irritated with low fps, caused pretty bad gameplay for me, missed evades, missed targets etc. I am a pretty clean person when it comes to my computer :) No bloatware, no helping apps and such, I am "do it manualy" kinda guy. Win7 x64 with only 44 proccesses excluding msi afterburner, aimp and firewall.

Except that it's still in closed beta.

Make it work, then make it work fast and pretty. You aren't playing a release-grade game, you're testing a beta.

I know that my computer is not that good, and it's a laptop I also am taking into account that this is a closed beta, but I have to put the game on all low settings and lower the resolution.
