Personally, trying to tackle the ever-growing backlog when not playing games with buddies. MWO doesn't really scratch the mech itch like MW4 and Hawken does. Been considering digging out the 360 to play Phantom Crash (assuming the disk isn't broke), Phantom Crash has a similar feel to maps and combat.
There's always someone unhappy with balance and design, and wanting to tweak the game to play how they want it to. The difference is, NS2 is designed to allow for easy moddability. So sure, you're going to have mods crapped out that triple the Marine res rate, add jet boosters to the Exos, and make shotguns free. But no one's going to play them for very long, because no one likes a completely one-sided game.
