why do you release a "beta" which isnt playable at all_
Tribes Ascend was almost retail product as it was released for open beta. Hawken is in contrary wasted disk space at this point.

Well my good sir this is still close beta and it was just the first stage. They are preparing the best they can with this so they can give the best experience for open beta which is on 12.12.12. I'm not saying you should have done your research, you may not have known and that's understandable. So why was Hawken unplayable_

because he say so and, maybe, dont see difference between close beta and open beta. for me only troublel with matchmaking is bad, other sides of game is good and interesting.

Well maybe your computer just isn't good enough to play Hawken. For me it worked like a dream and I had lots of fun playing it. Meh, haters will hate. And please keep in mind it's a priviledge to play an alpha or beta not a token...

It worked mostly fine for a large number of people.

You also never came back to this thread where I was trying to help you troubleshoot the possible cause, so I don't have much sympathy.

I was around during the Tribes closed beta (IE where this game claims to be at) as well as the open beta and a little bit after release
People were flying out of maps, there were deadstops everywhere, nobody could chase because between fishycs (direction-based inheritance lololol) and 20% inheritance shooting at high speeds was just awkward, at one point people could spam the thrust pack to travel across maps at mach 2, then there was the inventory station bug that did the same thing
The game also used to crash on me... a lot
Granted, people STILL cant chase in many cases and the physics are kinda buggered and snipers are still ridiculous and one of the maps never came back after being revised 4+ times etc. etc. etc.
I like HiRez, but pretending the Tribes beta was not a very (understandably) rocky path to release is just top-quality bs

well, tribes maybe had some gameplay issues, but at least it was playable like a game, I hadnt the feeling of playing beta at all.
In comparison to Hawken where all I get is a tiny red message box saying there arent servers around since the first day on till beta end apparently. Any why shut down servers at all_ Let people play and find more bugs and flaws, totally pointless.

You are not a dev, I believe, so don't go saying how they should do their jobs.

It was perfectly playable. I played it for the whole weekend and fun in doing so. If it was released as a full game as is, I'd be happy with it. The only thing that got annoying was the weapon overheat and low altitude barriers.

I am sorry you could not connect to any servers over the beta weekend. I understand many people had trouble connecting due to the nature of this stage of the testing. Many people who could not connect earlier on, myself included were able to connect later and many issues were resolved thanks to the testing done. I can understand your frustration but as you did not go out a seek assistance or help other than to post that you couldn't connect to the servers I fail to see why your attitude should be tolerated on the forums. As your last rebuttal makes clear, you have no intent to make constructive criticism, nor pay any respect to the other users here. These forums are for everybody to use together and help each other to produce a better game. Personal comments like that do not achieve anything and only reflect badly upon yourself. Please consider your manner of conduct here on the forums and reconsider your preconceptions as to what rights you have to the beta and what level of development beta should be.
