Reinstall didn't help.
Restart didn't work.

I'm sure it's a bug issue, so it's been reported.

This REALLY seems like an account Sync issue after you end a game where things are getting skewed between client and server. I'm sure theres some devs looking at this, but I still want to give details along with my .02c

Not to mention low FPS and frame drops being close to unbearable. But this is another history.

True in pretty much every sense, but we gotta remember, this IS beta. This is an invitational beta at that, meaning they're opening up a finite amount of resources and are DEFINITELY pushing an unoptimized client to us.
Both of those points being said, we should expect heavy server load and the tandem connection issues that go with it, on top of a drop in performance for at least this round of testing. These issues have to be corrected on the fly, there's really no way to test this in an internal environment with the amount of invites being sent out before things go to beta. This is what the beta's for.
ANOTHER thing to consider here is that Meteor is not hosting the servers themselves, and that probably NONE of these servers are physically located in the same building as the devs, so they're probably having to do these server-side fixes on the fly, over the phone, with someone who's probably not even an employee or knows anything about the product other than Meteor is paying to host their game with them.
It's frustrating, trust me, I know. I'm on work for the next 48 hours starting tomorrow and between this phase of testing's issues and the last phase's connection problems the opening day, I've gotten no more than 15 rounds in, legit, so even I am missing out on a lot of time with a game Im REALLY freaking excited, nay obsessed with. We've just gotta sit tight.
We're beta testers, this is our job.
