So, I've posted stuff about frame rate a few times now. But I've noticed another thing.

When the game starts and your on the screen that shows your Mech, and you can swap between your primary and secondary main weapon, etc. , when I move the camera up in line with the Mech the frame rate is fast, and it runs great. But as soon as I move it down, where the camera gets close to the blinking light on the railing, the frame rate drops hard core.

This seems to be doing the same thing that happens when the particles explode from surfaces after being fired upon. The more particles, the more intense the frame drop. So it becomes really apparent in big fire fights.

I don't understand really what's going on here, but maybe someone else will.

EDIT: This happens bad on the Sahara map. And even on maps like Titan. I can turn the graphics down all the way possible, and I still get 'hardcore' lag in most areas. It's almost unplayable sometimes. I probably get 10 frames sometimes. Maybe even less. And while I may not have the 'ultimate gaming rig', my PC is no hunk of junk by 'any' means.

I also experience some frustrating slowdown in combat. Occurs on all settings.

yeah, been wondering what engine does Hawken uses, cause i can run CryEngine 3 on Medium settings with 40+ FPS.
must be some sort of bug, I've tuned some stuff in the .cfg files, but still got massive FPS drops in every Titan match, even normal maps.

the current workaround to increase framerate I've found is to play in windowed mode. This gives quite a significant boost to FPS. Which is unusual because normally it's the other way around.

I've actually found that playing in windowed mode makes it worse in some cases.

Yea see it doesn't help me much. I find that it's better in fullscreen 'most' of the time. Occasionally it's better in windowed.

Keep in mind the game isn't 100% optimized yet, guys.

Also, I heard a lot of problems for people on SLI or Crossfire rigs, but nVidia released a beta driver today that adds SLI and Surround support... assuming you're on Win Vista/7/8. XP, you're out of luck.
