If you can't see the turret attacking you check for them inside of walls. People are deploying them through edges and taking advantage of new players trying to harvest energy in Siege mode. (You can manually explode your TOW to hit them)

Yep. BlackCephie was doing this during a Siege match on Titan today.
Annoying as hell.

Yea I've note a few spots where turret placement is hidden. However, using these spots is one way of forcing it to be fixed (due to threads such as this).

@ Asian- Once you figured out where the turret was I'm sure it wasn't too hard to kill it. A heat and GL shot is all you need. But yes I agree, when its not you, its annoying as hell.

Sure it's not hard to take out.
But at least half the players aren't experienced enough or just not smart enough to figure out what's going on.

That, and abusing glitches like that is complete BS, used only by fuzzy bunny players.

im resisting making a QQ thread about these turrets... but its ever so hard. constant unlimited sustained damage i still think a direct tow should take them out.

I ran into Shadi in a match. He said he thinks they're supposed to be toned down next beta session.

This makes Kiwi so excited. He would make silly noises to indicate his excitement, but this enviornment is unsuitable.

The turrets are "harmless" if you know what youre doing, so much QQ about this when all it take is just dodging to the side once you hear the turret pre-spin/fire the rocket, and the turret loses the tracking, i mean is it really THAT hard_

That isn't the problem. The problem is some people have found a way to make them invisible (or nearly so) and yet still able to hit players.

Besides the fact that people are sticking turrets in the terrain so they can't be seen, there is another problem.

All you have to do to use a turret, is hit a key.
It takes literally no skill to use them and even using them intelligently even takes minimal effort.
At the moment, they are too effective for how little skill it takes to use them.

I actually think the rocket turret doesn't do enough right now, but the chain turret needs a nerf (and is getting it next patch)

Good to know. I wonder how/if their going to buff the rocket turret_ I think it should just be a straight damage buff, that way you have one turret that hits hard but is dodge able and a turret where you cant dodge the individual shots but does manageable damage.

Hnnnng.

At any rate, the only time I dont' like turrets is when I'm in an A class.  B and C mostly shrug off the damage it doles out while it's getting two shotted, but an A-class could lose 1/3 of its HP by the time it goes down if you don't notice it quick enough.  It doesn't take a lot of skill to use, but its setup time is a disadvantage if you get jumped.  You may be dead by the time it gets up and firing, unlike Detonators or grenades.
