I personally believe Alleys is as small as it should get for DM. A full game of Alleys is filled with action, sometimes I can't move out of my spawn due to someone walking into it, and having another spawn right behind me as I'm done dealing with my first kill. The cycle repeats until I either die or run off to a new location. I've seen plenty of complaints in-game of pilots losing kills and being teamed in Alleys, but in smaller DMs it may take awhile to find an opponent.

Alleys is one of my favourite maps for FFA Deathmatch. Honestly, a lot of the perceived distance there has to do with vertical movement rather than map size. Unlike Titan, with its relative symmetry and jump pads all over the place, you often need to take the long way around to reach the upper levels on Alleys.

Well, I was referring to it's size in general terms. Now that you mention Titan.. maybe 4 jumpers here and there on Alleys could speed up things a little more...

I agree sometimes it can take a while to find an enemy, if the server has low population.

But generally i head to the top floor, patrol all the entrances and snipe from atop.

Click me! I dare you.

But that issue is hardly unique to Alleys. With a full 12 players on board, I never have to wander far to find a fight...
